Blog Action Day 08

Microloans are small loans, as little as $25, that help entrepreneurs in developing areas lift themselves out of poverty. Through Kiva.org anyone can become a microlender helping build communities by funding businesses in those areas.

Many loans are paid back and on the Kiva site you can read through dozens of entrepreneur/loan requests to pick ones you feel are most beneficial.

 

The Global Fund combats AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria which have a crippling effect on the fight against poverty. You can donate to the Global Fund via the widget on the right or the link below.
